Louisville, KY—Friday, December 19, 2008 YUM! Brands, welcomes an EXPRESS Taco Bell & KFC (411 S. 4th Street, upstairs in the food court area of 4th Street Live) restaurant to Downtown Louisville and wants women and men of Kentuckiana to express themselves and make a wish! 

Laura Melillo Barnum-Executive Director Yum! Brands Foundation states, “During this holiday season we felt it was important to show how much we care about our customers and how important it is to support our community in general.”

From 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, to celebrate the Grand Opening, the Holidays, and YOU, YUM! Brands will serve FREE Taco Bell tacos to those who express themselves and write down a Holiday Wish.  Each Holiday Wish will be posted in the store until the end of the 08.  One wish and one taco per person.

Also, December 19 will be an annual Dare To Care Day! During Express store hours, bring in one canned good to benefit Dare To Care Food Bank and receive a Pepsi on the house!

september – fall is on its way

The last couple of days have been warm, but at least we’re finally getting some much needed rain around here. But don’t let that get your spirits down, because we have a fantastic September lined up for you! Two Nibble & Sips, our final movie night with Ghostbusters & two live music acts and Anne Northup as our guest for the Wine & Wisdom. Membership Special: Friends, like wines, come in all varieties and flavors. And that is a perfect way to describe our members too. So far, we’re up to 40 members who have taken advantage of  my special offer to be among the first 100 and I’m still looking for more to join the ranks of lifetime members. Description: In a remote village of Pakistan, Mukhtaran Mai’s life changed when she was punished for a crime allegedly committed by her brother. Mai set out to seek justice. Shame chronicles her journey from a simple peasant woman to local leader for change and a global human rights icon.

Bon Vivant Savant’s original series-Wine & Wisdom welcomes political candidates, Anne Northup and Congressman John Yarmuth to the podium in a casual relaxed forum. This politically charged Wine & Wisdom will offer two separate nights of Q&A, fabulous food, excellent wine and good people. We are encouraging people to come to both dinners (menus to be posted soon) as this is a great way to get to know the candidates in a relaxed, intimate and non-fundraising environment.

Primo will offer a sophisticated backdrop for this exciting new dining series and will feature a three-course Italian inspired meal as well as passed hors d’oeuvres during a greet and meet cocktail hour. Selected wines will be presented to accent the courses prepared by Primo. Vegetarian and non-alcoholic options available with advance notifications.

Both nights will begin at 6:00pm

Reservations are required by Friday, August 29
